The day Messi made his debut, he replaced the former Portugal international Deco who joined the Catalans after winning the Champions league with Porto and playing an important role in reaching euro finals with Portugal. He was a top player during his time in 2004.
2. The date 1st may 2005.
This was the day Messi scored his first ever goal for F.C Barcelona in a La Liga match against Albacete . He scored 7 months later after making his debut for the Spanish club.
